Talks on Healthy Use of the Internet for Students and Parents

Internet surfing is a popular activity among youngsters. While the Internet is a source of useful and enriching information, it also contains materials which are not suitable for youngsters, such as sex, violence, crimes, gambling, drugs and improper values or interpersonal relationships, etc. In the absence of proper guidance from parents or teachers, youngsters are particularly vulnerable to the harmful materials on the Internet.

To enhance students’ understanding of the Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Ordinance and protect them against objectionable information on the Internet, and help parents guide their children in using the Internet, we offer a "Healthy Use of the Internet Students and Parents Talk" for all primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong. Interested schools may complete and return the application form to us by fax (2827 2893) for arranging the talks.

For enquiry, please contact Mr. Stephen Fung, Project Officer at 2594 5921.
