The Licence Administration Section 1 is responsible for:

	Administering the domestic free television programme service and sound broadcasting licences;
	Conducting renewal and mid-term review of the licences of domestic free, domestic pay and non-domestic television programme services and sound broadcasting services;
	Conducting broadcasting surveys and public hearings in connection with the renewals and mid-term reviews of television programme service and sound broadcasting licences, and
	Assisting the Communications and Technology Branch in the review of the broadcasting regulatory regime.
