Content Regulation Section 1, provides secretariat service to the Broadcasting Authority Codes of Practice Committee, prepares papers for the Codes of Practice Committee on the review and drafting of codes of practice governing television and radio broadcasting, and conducts research into the latest development in broadcasting, overseas regulatory practices and industry facilitation. The Section is also responsible for the operation of a Television and Radio Consultative Scheme, and conducts media talks to schools to help children develop critical viewing skills, to better understand the basic provisions governing television broadcast and to assist them to make informed viewing choice for their viewing.
