The Sub-Division consists of two sections, namely Competition Section and Broadcasting Authority Section. The Competition and Support Sub-Division is responsible for:

	Enforcing the competition provisions in the Broadcasting Ordinance;
	Enforcing the accounting separation requirements for broadcasting licensees;
	Administering the firewall provisions in the broadcasting licences;
	Reviewing the structure of licence fees for the broadcasting licences;
	Providing secretariat services for the Broadcasting Authority;
	Providing secretariat services for the Broadcasting Authority Complaints Committee;
	Producing publications for the BA, and
	Promoting the activities of the BA.
